Shared Ownership

If you currently own your own home but you feel it doesn’t meet your housing needs, then why not consider purchasing an apartment at Mill Rise Village?

We have 20 2-bed apartments available to purchase on a shared ownership basis. If you are successful in securing an apartment at Mill Rise you will need to sell your existing home in order to purchase an apartment. 

None of the apartments are available for outright purchase however you can choose to buy a 50% or 75% share in an apartment, depending in your personal circumstances. A rent is payable to Aspire Housing on purchases of up to 75%. No rent is payable on an ongoing basis if you buy 75% of the value of the apartment.

To be eligible you must be aged 55 or over and be able to afford to purchase a share and pay the ongoing costs, ie. service charge, sinking funds and care costs.
